Headlines: “McCain’s pick for VEEP is to recruit the Hillary voters and other women during this years election”.

Ladies, let the news media know that you, like anyone else, are independent and need no one to speak for you. But I saw this coming as soon as Governor Palin was selected. She has not been the Governor of Alaska for a long period of time. If not mistaken, she has been in office for only 20 months. But, like the SPECULATORS said earlier, the Constitution only requires a natural citizen at age 35 yrs. and older to be eligible to run for president. Plus, Abe Lincoln was a House Representative before becoming president.

If someone asks, let them know that you all don’t need a spokesperson because you represent:

1. The majority of school teachers and administrators in the U.S. (The two  most important jobs on the planet)

2. The majority of college and university student body population

3. The largest number of high school valedictorians and salutatorians

NEED WE SAY MORE!!!!!!!!

According to the news media, when these people speak, they speak for all like them:

Speaks for all Christians

Speaks for all African Americans Same

Women Voters in the U.S.  same

Even for the SPECULATORS, this sure is a unique group. I have nothing against these people. Just against people who attempt to CONTROL!! Speculators thrive on individualism. That is why we RISK-TAKE.

The presidential race is finally moving forward as both parties have selected their presidential and VEEP candidates. Obama/Biden v. McCain/Palin.

This entire presidential campaign has been longstanding and highlighted a disturbing mentality amongst the voting public. ACADEMIC PEDIGREE MAKES US COMFORTABLE!

For instance lets look at Senator Obama. He will probably be the next president of the United States. But, do you think he would be in the position he is in today if he were a graduate say from Howard University or N.C. State? The answer is probably an astounding no. He may not have been elected as a U.S. Senator of Illinois. For some reason, people don’t fear nor question IVY league graduates.

People in the U.S. put too much emphasis into a person’s academic background and not looking deep into the fundamentals when electing a politician (Not that there is some litmus test for being eligible to enter a political race). Name only counts, period. An Ivy League background breeds this sort of mental comfort in the minds of people as they think, “Oh, he graduated from Yale (Brown, Penn.), he must be smart and capable”.

Now with all due respect, there is absolutely nothing wrong with these institutions, nothing at all. And you must have high credentials prior to gaining admission. I do not use this platform to be critical of these institutions. I merely highlight the current state of hypocrisy in the minds of people.

There is never any conversation of Senator Obama without highlighting his Harvard Law background. President Bushs’ Harvard MBA was spoken of frequently when he was a presidential candidate. And ironically, the so-called leaders of the black community (Those crowned by the media & who speak for every black person on the face of the U.S.) may have attended a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), but their children do not. Some are also college professors, but teach at other institutions of higher education (Princeton, Harvard, Georgetown, etc…).

Now you might say, “18yr. olds have a choice of where they want to go to school”. True, but 18yr. olds don’t have enough money to write a check for their tuition. That is where the parents and their influence come in.

Headline: Harvard and Univ. of South Carolina students study from the same textbooks. Yale Law and Howard Law students study the same material when preparing for the Maryland Bar Examination. Think people, THINK.

Conclusion: Education is education. The only thing an IVY League degree guarantees is in providing a good job or creating the perfect political candidate. Other than that, you can do whatever you want wherever you attend school. If you are a SPECULATOR, then you can definitely achieve stardom!!

The Federal Depositary Insurance Corporation (AKA the FDIC) may have to borrow money from the U.S. Treasury Department in order to cover the insurance on depositors money from failed banks. Not good news.

The Treasury Department cannot continue to print money like candy and save every financial institution (Bear Sterns, etc..). When they do this, the value of the U.S. dollar weakens. Translation: foreign governments will then reduce the amount of U.S. Treasury bonds they purchase and subsequently sell those they currently own. This is troubling. This will drive up interest rates (On mortgages, credit cards, consumer loans)

What would you do if your bank fails and you find out that the money in your account is not covered by insurance? It’s gone!

How do you feel about a private company, say, Goldman Sachs, managing the toll road in your city instead of the local government? Or maybe the regional airport?

Well, for those against private companies managing public services, get ready for the beginning of a new trend, COMING TO A CITY NEAR YOU!!

An article in today’s New York Times sums it up. Cities and states are running out of money. Revenues are coming in at levels not budgeted for. The high price of gas is one blame, the current credit crunch, and even high crime rates.

In order to raise revenue, some cities are leasing (offering 30- 50 yr. leases) city services to large investment companies in exchange for a large cash infusion. In return, the winning bidders are allowed to keep the revenue generated from their management of the specific government service entity.

This is not a bad idea, but what happens when the cash infusion money runs out? It can happen.

1. Reduce Crime (Keeps families from moving to the suburbs)

2. Don’t give away the money trying to lure a professional sports franchise

3. GET EXTREMELY TOUGH ON CRIME (Good for business recruitment)

4. Improve the school systems (Increase teacher salaries & get rid of the school boards, SChool boArds, scHOol boards)

5. CONTINUE TO GET EXTREMELY TOUGH ON CRIME

6. Negotiate to get a % of the revenue from leasing city services to private companies.

7. Any government worker must reside (permanent home) in the city or get a 15% payroll tax. This prevents the “in at 9/out at 5″ employees from coming in to work, then leaving to reside in the suburbs.

8. Reduce the amount of tax-exempt properties (Ex. Churches, etc..)

9. Implement term limits on elected officials (Prevents DINOSAURS from running government)

10. Make it mandatory that parents attend Parent Teacher Conference meetings (Instills community and strengthens the school system)

Well, the wait is over. Senator and presidential candidate Barack Obama has chosen his running mate.

I believe Senator Biden has been in Congress for over 20 years. This appears to be a “Dick Cheyney-like” type of selection. Select a VEEP with a lot of D.C. political experience to alleviate the worries of those who question a candidates experience level.

Biden is definitely a DINOSAUR, as I do not know what more he can offer than his age. He has been in office during U.S. deficits, surpluses, and wars.

He may be an asset for Senator Obama. He will also be a minor liability as well. Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and ‘ol Rushbo are going to have a field day with Senator Biden’s previous personal gaffes.

It was revealed that Senator Biden plagiarized a law review article while in law school. As a presidential candidate, he also plagiarized a speech by Neil Kinnock whom at the time was the leader of the British Labour Party.

Don’t be surprised if you are constantly reminded of Biden’s history until after the election.
